A Hostage Taking in My Neighborhood

A man in my development is a brave soul indeed!. As I came home from work tonight.I observed activity at the house and yard where this father of 2 young girls lives. There were at least 20 teen and pre-teen girls in his yard, the front door was open and I heard shrill sounds from inside the house. There were more inside. To make matters worse. I have not seen the mother. I think the poor man (glutton for punishment) is alone.

We have boys-3 of them, all grown now. We often had activities in our house. On more than one occasion we had upwards of 40 boys here. But girls? I wouldn't dream of it. With boys I never questioned that I was in control of what was going on in my house. But my neighbor? If I knew my neighbor better I would go over an ask him whether he was laboring under the illusion that he even has a modicum of control over what was happening in his house?

Wait a minute:shrieks, screams! Does any one think I should call 911 and report my neighbor being held hostage by mysterious aliens? As a Christian I must consider, what would Jesus do?

Outsider Candidates are GOP's Last Best Hope

I am not a Trump supporter, at least not yet. If the decision were mine alone I would give the nomination to another candidate; on the other hand, neither am I one who is wringing my hands waiting for him to drop out of the race. If Trump gets the nomination I will vote for him. We could do a lot worse. Trump is the healthiest thing for the party since the nomination of Teddy Roosevelt.  It is becoming more and more evident to me that Trump may actually be the nominee. I agree with much of what Trump says. I  like most of what he says, and I love the way he says it. It is about time someone told the truth. Can Christians Support Legal Exceptions for Abortion? (Part One)

  On January 24, 2022 the US Supreme Court (SCOTUS) announced it's decision in Dobbs v Jackson Women's Health Organization. Their  announcement follows: “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled. The Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision, including the one on which the defenders of Roe and Casey now chiefly rely—the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.” This decision ended, probably permanently, federal protection of the right of a woman to have an abortion without limits or restriction. It left abortion to the discretion of the states in accord with the 9th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
