Memo Reveals the Need to Re-structure American Law Enforcement

It is now evident that some people working for the Department of Justice and the FBI conspired to exonerate one Presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, of serious ethical if not illegals acts while at the same time cooperating with one political party to implicate the other nominee and future President for at best disgraceful and at worst impeachable offenses. When you combine the information in the memo with recent revelations from FBI personnel text messages the intent of the operation seems to have been to ameliorate the suspicions against and Hillary Clinton, insuring her win, and to create enough suspicion against Trump that he would be forced to with draw and his career business and family would be ruined. Things did not go as planned, and Trump won and shortly thereafter fired FBI Director James Comey, who then cashed in “the insurance policy,” which appears to have been a Special  Council  investigation against Trump. The Special Counsel investigation lead by Rober...
What Government Shutdown? By David L. Miner Where is Congress given the power to shut down the government? Where does the Constitution give the feral government the option to stop doing its job? Where does Congress get its power to violate the Constitution and still remain in power? I submit that those powers simply do not exist. I submit that as soon as Congress shuts down the federal government, Congress no longer has any authority. According to America's Declaration of Independence, all authority comes from God. Some of that authority is given to mankind. And some of mankind's authority is delegated to a government that We The People created in and by that Constitution. The Constitution is a contract created by two parties – the existing thirteen States and the existing people of those States. That contract created the central government with limited powers and responsibilities. When the central government violates that contract and willful...

Why I Won't Be Watching Football At Christmas

Glenn A. Griffis -- I am thankful for that my parents put little value in their children's athletic development. I, too, am glad that while my wife and I put a greater emphasis on our children's athletic development than my parents did, it was never a priority in our children's lives. Yet all my life I have been told by educators and parenting experts that, "Athletics build character." Does it? Does our cultural experience with athletics support that premise? I submit that once people start getting serious about athletics, usually in High School, that there is no necessary connection between character development and athletics. As a matter of fact, I believe most athletic departments are motivated by popular social trends rather than by virtue. What athletics supports is people who conform to the popular social opinion. These thoughts in no way seek to disparage, athletes or athletics. I enjoy watching a good game or playing a good game as much as anybody, and...

Evolutions Dirty Little Seecret

by David L. Miner  --    I think it is time you examined what you really believe. Let’s try an issue. Suppose you believe in evolution. After all, don’t the educational institutions of this Great Nation claim that evolution is a fact and that any belief to the contrary is merely a religious superstition? (By the way, even the educational talking heads spewing that belief from an overdose of damaged gray cells aren’t being real and honest about it. You’ll see that this is true shortly.) In fact, evolution is such a powerful and ubiquitous religious dogma in the educational arena that teachers are currently being censured and professors are being denied tenure if they are not ardent public supporters of evolution. How is that for inviting open thought and academic freedom? And you were so naive' as to think educators were open-minded… So, you believe evolution is a fact. According to Charles Darwin and all of the prophets of this humanist religio...

Thriving Amidst the Danger of Worship

by Glenn A. Griffis Some of the great worship events of scripture are substantially different from what the contemporary worship movement brings to the church. In many biblical worship events solemnity precedes celebration(2 Chrn 7:8 - 10). Contrition and corrective discipline is common in biblical worship  (Ezra 10; 1 Cor 5:9-12) Often worship leaves us prostrate before the Lord (Jd 13:20;Rev 1:17). In the Bible worship diminishes man and blesses or extols God.  Isaiah saw the Lord "in the year of King Uzziah's death." Uzziah was a "righteous, godly, prosperous King," who thought his accomplishment made him worthy to  lead worship . He usurped the role that belong to the priests alone. The great popular godly King Uzziah was struck down for making himself central in worship. (Is 6:1). When reflecting on the godly, righteous servant of God dying as a pitiful leper Isaiah is terrified at his vision of God's holiness. Yet what I see in much conte...

Women’s Equal Rights in the Bible

by David L. Miner I have discovered in the past few years that there is a large group of men, along with a surprising number of women, who hold to the view that women are junior members of Christianity, intended by God to be subservient creatures put here to serve and to follow and to submit to men. This belief was totally foreign to me until just a couple of years ago. And until several months ago, I thought this was only a small group of men way out on the fringe of what can barely be called Christianity, consisting of men who knew a very limited number of Scripture verses and practiced even less. Now I fear that the group is far larger than I imagined. But Goliath or not, I believe that these men are absolutely wrong in their understanding of Scripture, and in their attempt at subjugating half the world’s population. I saw on Facebook earlier last month a statement by a man that women were to be in submission to men and that this was clearly taught in Script...
